I've never heard of this before. Why?
ChipsAway began in the USA and has only recently extended into the UK. Initially as a service to the Garage trade, it has now expanded to serve the General Public at home, work or anywhere else.
It may be new here but it has already revolutionised vehicle re-finishing elsewhere in the world. There are thousands of satisfied customers. We are sure you will hear much more about this in the coming months.On-site re-finishing will soon become the norm.

Is the service really cost effective?
Yes. Our study shows that our customers save an average of 50% on all work carried out compared with taking their vehicle into a garage or bodyshop for repair.

Is the service a quicker alternative to body shop repairs?
Most definitely. Body shops often take more than a day to complete work we can deal within a few hours. We only repair the damaged area, as opposed to the whole panel or part.

How do they get an exact colour match?
ChipsAway have access to over 40,000 colour and paint finish combinations,
and use the manufacturers original specification to get a perfect colour match.

Do you provide a service to the Motor Trade?
No - we deal with the public only - if you are interested in ChipsAway services to the Motor Trade, please contact ChipsAway Head Office at the above Website.

Do you guarantee your work?
Yes. our repairs are covered by a two year guarantee.

Are there any parts of the vehicle body that ChipsAway do not repair?
Generally speaking, scratches and deep dents to the horizontal panels of the car (Bonnet, Roof, Boot lid) are not suitable for the
ChipsAway SMART treatment

Do you treat Rust / Corrosion ?
We can treat the visible element of the corrosion - however, as corrosion can be as a result of water seeping behind a panel from a leak further up the vehicle, we do not offer our usual guarantee on these repairs.

What happens if it is raining - will I need to rebook a repair ?
We have a car shelter to enable us to offer the mobile service during inclement weather - alternatively, we can arrange for the vehicle to be repaired undercover in our workshop, so there should be no need to re-book

Can I use the vehicle as soon as it has been repaired?
Yes. although we advise that the repaired area is not washed or polished for 7 - 10 days after the treatment to allow for final curing.
